After the first three test jungle terrain pieces turned out well. I continued to build a few more using the same process with the hot glue gun.

I am continuing to get a few more units completed for my Spencer Smith plastic Napoleonic armies. I am attempting to use some of my surplus ACW figures and converting them with a bicorne hat made with green stuff.

With gaming I am continuing to enjoy playing WW2 using the boardgame rules Tank on Tank on the tabletop. A couple of modifications applied include using a D12 dice rather than two D6, and having to beat the defence score rather than equal it to destroy a unit. The aim of the changes was to improve the survivability of infantry in games where the many of units are infantry (foot, mechanised and mobile).

Nice post! Those patches of jungle look very jungly. Mounted in patches like that looks effective indeed. And I like you WW2 set-up. I recognise the Airfix Tiger tanks and armoured car, but not half-tracks. Are they resin or something?
ReplyDeleteThanks. The half tracks are mostly Armourfast. I have a habit of filling in the interiors of vehicle with plaster as I don't like painting them. So they do look like they are resin models because if this. Some of the models I don't know the manufacturer as I have picked then up as second hand.

ReplyDeleteThanks. The jungle took a few tests before getting it right, and is not really doable without a hot glue gun. That way the bits are stuck in place almost immediately.
DeleteI like the look of your ww2 table and am interested in your wargaming using the Tank-on-Tank rules. Will you post the modifications you have made to the rules at some point?
