Units completed to date |
- $27 - Battle for Britain 1066 Wargame by Peter Dennis which contains all the pages to photocopy. I already own this book so $27 is based on current pricing.
- $6 - 4 units completed with each unit costing about $1.50 per unit for photocopying and cardboard.
I am aiming to complete both armies over the next 10 weeks. Each army will have sufficient units to cover the dice generated armies in One-Hour Wargames. This equates to 10 units for each army.
Brilliant! Your 'mob' basing looks even better with more units on the table.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The basing does appear to work. When a unit is shooting or in melee the unit basing 3,2,1 is used and when moving the bases are set in reverse 1,2,3.
DeleteI like the idea of the base arrangement indicating what they're doing. This means you could have to order/activate a unit to change its state, i.e. if moving it would keep moving unless you ordered it to stop / change direction. I shall mull over this as a game mechanic.
DeleteI like the idea of keeping moving until otherwise ordered.
DeleteGreat value for money Peter - what size are the figures?
ReplyDeleteWhen I photocopy the figures I increase the figure size to 40mm.
DeleteReally well done Peter, that basing style works a treat, the shield wall is most impressive.
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly.
DeleteOnce again, surprisingly effective... and can't beat the price!
ReplyDeleteThe price certainly helps wargaming a period I might not otherwise play.
DeleteThey look wonderful, the horde effect of the basing really works for the period.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
