Progress on ECW project and additional WW2

Over the last couple of weeks I have been making steady progress on my English Civil War (ECW) project. 4 of the 32 units I need to paint have now been completed. In addition a few WW2 tanks made it on to the painting desk. They were some second hand models picked up from Hinds Figures Ltd when ordering a few additional Hinchliffe figures for my ECW units.

  1. All look good. What scale are the tanks?

  2. 1/72 scale. The PzIV tanks were all a bit tired and have been given a new paint scheme and lease of life. The 38t was very nicely painted, but had the wrong colour scheme and got a lick of paint too.

  3. Peter,
Your ECW figures look superb - well done! Expect that this project will be a long term 2018 project for you with 32 units to produce. Best Wishes. KEV.

    1. Thanks KEV. I just keep reminding my self - slow and steady - when looking at the unpainted models.

  4. All nice - I have 53 units to do for my 1066 project and that feels like an awful lot of lead in front of me ...... but the only way to do it, is to do it! Your ECW journey makes me feel a bit better about mine :-)

    1. I always find it both exciting and daunting to start a painting project. I have set my self a goal of one unit per week and will try and keep ahead of that for those weeks I cannot paint due to other factors.
